Vienna Ice World

Fischer von Erlach at Wien Museum

The Karlskirche is regarded as the most important baroque structure in Austria and is a Viennese landmark. Its architect, Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach (1656–1723), is the focus of the first special exhibition in the reopened Wien Museum.

41th Vienna City Marathon

EuroGames #EmbraceDiversity

The multiday sports fest for members of the LGBT community and their friends will play out in Vienna for the first time in 2024. At least 27 different sports promise a packed program for the approximately 3,000 participants from all over the world. Anyone can join in – regardless of sexual orientation.

Christmas Markets in Vienna in 2024

Some of the city’s most attractive squares are transformed into enchanting Christmas markets between mid-November and Christmas. The aromas of freshly baked cookies, steaming punch and roasted almond shang in the air. Festive lights twinkle above the old town and shopping streets, spreading Christmas cheer throughout the city.

Vienna New Year’s Eve Trail

On December 31, Vienna city center is transformed into a giant party scene.

From 2pm until 2am the New Year’s Eve trail in the old town keeps the entertainment coming. Numerous stopping-off points offer culinary specialties where the sounds of waltz, rock, pop and live DJs add up to an unforgettable experience.
